SWLEOC
The South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC), established in 2004 and located within Epsom General Hospital in Surrey, is the largest joint replacement center in the UK and one of the largest in Europe.
As a collaborative initiative among four South West London acute trusts—Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust, St George’s NHS Trust, Croydon Health Services NHS Trust, and Kingston Hospital NHS Trust - SWLEOC specializes in elective orthopaedic surgeries, including hip and knee replacements, shoulder, elbow, foot, ankle, spinal, and hand surgeries.
Performing over 6,000 procedures annually, with approximately 4,000 being joint replacements, the center is renowned for its high-quality care, efficiency, and patient satisfaction. SWLEOC is committed to delivering excellence in orthopaedic surgery, research, and education.
